In this episode, I speak with Dr. Khatija Westbrook on the positive effects of nature on our overall stress levels and how we can incorporate it into our day-to-day lives regardless of the season. Khatija explores how both traditional western and non-western approaches to medicine can be effective for optimal health. And she gives us a few tips on how to lower our stress levels through an intentional mind-body connection.

About Khatija

Dr. Khatija Westbrook has been a practicing physiotherapist and athletic therapist for over 25 years. She teaches in Athletic Therapy and Physical Literacy at Mt Royal University. Khatija has a concomitant passion for complementary, alternative and integrated medicine. She has taken courses, workshops and seminars in acupuncture, craniosacral therapy, visceral manipulation, cupping, Qi Gong, Reiki and holistic energy healing.  Her areas of Scholarship include Sport epidemiology and complementary, alternative and integrative medicine.
